Other Ways to Help
Other ways to help include fostering or sponsoring a needy pet.
Fostering
Fostering a needy pet is a richly rewarding experience. It's also an emotional, often difficult experience that isn't for everyone - but for those that can do it, it's an experience that won't soon be forgotten.
Whiskers & Tails Foundation is always looking for foster homes for our dogs, and cats. A fence yard is required to be a foster home for dogs. We require that foster dogs live inside your house.
You would be responsible for feeding them, keeping them safe, clean, and helping them learn to be good pets.
We may ask you to take them to our local veterinarians for care, but we pay all vet expenses for our rescue animals, including food and supplies.
It would be great if you could bring your foster dogs, or cats to our adoption events, but it's not required. We could arrange for one of our volunteers to pick up your foster animals to bring to our adoption event.
However, your foster animals are much calmer, and more secured, if you can attend the adoption events with them. Prospective adopters can ask you for more details about your foster animals.
Fosters are essential. Many animals will die without fosters as we have no kennels. Fosters are the life blood of any animal rescue groups.
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, we ask that you fill out our foster application and please contact us. We love to hear from you!
